DBF Digital Multi-beam Spherical Panoramic Surveillance Radar
Figure 1 Appearance
1. Overview
This radar is a fully coherent, spherical phased array radar system. The equipment employs conformal antenna technology and Digital DBF (Digital Beam Forming) technology to achieve 360-degree azimuth coverage and -10° to 90° elevation scanning coverage. Its primary surveillance targets include low-to-medium altitude airborne targets, armed individuals, tanks, armored vehicles, and surface vessels. This radar can be applied to border and coastal surveillance, as well as the protection of critical sites (power stations, oil fields, airports, prisons, ground bases, and islands). It can also be used for general aviation low-altitude gap-filling and command scenarios. Additionally, it features capabilities for meteorological cloud map monitoring (for rainfall prediction), rainfall monitoring, point-source fire alarm (requires environmental learning and periodic updates), and hillside micro-motion alarm (requires environmental learning and periodic updates).
2. Main Functions
• Possesses 360-degree electronic scanning for full-domain surveillance, detection, and tracking.
• Measures target azimuth angle, elevation angle, range, velocity, and RCS in real-time.
• Rapidly establishes target tracks and achieves group target tracking, recognition, and alerting.
• Features networked collaborative observation capability.
• Capable of searching for and tracking airborne targets with RCS from 0.01m² to 50m² (e.g., high/low-altitude UAVs, fighter jets, helicopters, low-altitude drones).
• Utilizes two-dimensional monopulse angle measurement and measures five-dimensional parameters (Azimuth, Elevation, Range, Velocity, RCS). Synthesizes 868 detection beams in space for higher measurement accuracy.
• High data refresh rate and rapid full-airspace response; completes one full airspace scan every 800ms.
• Micro-Doppler detection with Doppler resolution of 0.5Hz, especially suitable for detecting hovering and tangentially flying drones.
• Modular design for the entire system; modules can be quickly plugged/unplugged and replaced, facilitating later operation and maintenance.
• Features high reliability, light weight, and portable deployment.
3. Product Application Areas
1) Linear Surveillance: Border lines, coastlines, national strategic railway lines, oil pipelines, etc.
2) Low, Small, and Slow (LSS) Target Monitoring: Humans, vehicles, UAVs, paragliders, etc.
3) Critical Area (Perimeter) Monitoring: Nuclear power plants, oil depots, ammunition depots, prisons, etc.
4) Critical Target Collision Avoidance: Islands/reefs, oil drilling platforms, etc.
